THE FINALS Season 2 is just around the corner, and while we do know the release date, we don't yet know too much about what new features and content are coming to the game.

There have been rumours and speculation, but so far, there's not been many concrete details. To that end, here is everything we know so far about Season 2 of THE FINALS and what we can expect from it.

When does Season 2 release?

One thing we can say for certain is that THE FINALS Season 2 will be available on March 14, 2024.

This means we have less than a week to wait (at the time of writing) until the new season kicks off, and also that you have less than a week to finish off your Season 1 battle pass if you haven't done so already.

Season 2 content & leaks for THE FINALS

According to a press release (and the explosive trailer at the top of this page), THE FINALS Season 2 will debut a new set of equipment, a new map, and more.

The narrative setup here is that THE FINALS (the in-game gameshow) has been hacked by a group called CNS, and it's not yet clear what their intentions are.

New mode - Power Shift

Joining the current slew of modes is Power Shift, a 'casual' 5v5 mode where players try to stand on a platform to get it to move to a scoring location.

As with anything in THE FINALS, the platform will move through buildings, levelling them as it rises upwards and shifts direction. It could be the ultimate expression of Embark Studios' explosive destruction model.

New equipment

Light, Medium, and Heavy characters are getting fresh tools to play with, as well as new weapons.

Light players get deployable portals to teleport between two locations, as well as burst-fire machine pistols, while Mediums get the Data Reshaper to turn enemy gadgets into just about anything else, as well as the Dematerializer to open up temporary holes in walls, floors, and ceilings. They also get a new burst assault rifle, the FAMAS.

Finally, Heavys aren't left out; they'll get a new slug shotgun and an Anti-Gravity Cube to send other players and in-game items upwards.

New map - SYS$HORIZON

Arguably the show-stealer here is CNS' custom map which is a purple-hued, synth-wave parkour paradise that's partially loaded, with bits of level geometry floating precariously.

We'll add more once we've seen it.
