Inside the cave, you'll find Pili and if you talk to them, you'll invite them to Koboh to join you in the Rooftop Garden. Following this, Pili will now appear on the Rooftop Garden and educate you on the various seeds you collect.
On top of this, as you collect more seeds throughout the game, Pili will help you expand your garden, giving you more space to plant.
