Does Palia have controller support?
Whether you have accessibility needs or generally just prefer playing with a controller, you may be wondering if Palia has controller support.
Palia is available on PC, after rounds of successful open beta testing, it is now due to launch on the Epic Games Store via early access on October 24.
As such, although a Nintendo Switch release is cited for later this year, for the foreseeable if you wish to get your hands on the cozy game, you’ll need to do so via PC.

Does Palia have controller support: Answered
Click to enlargeAs of writing, Palia has limited controller support. This means that whilst you can connect a controller to the game and access some functions, the full scope of the game won’t be completely accessible.
Essentially, it is possible to play with a controller, but you will also need a mouse and keyboard to access everything the game has to offer.

Will Palia get full controller support for PC?
During their July blog post, game director, Aidan Karabaich confirmed that controller support is one of the features on the Palia content roadmap. Along with controller support, the following options are listed for a release later this year:
- Themed Event
- New Quests and Storylines
- New Villagers and Friendships
- New Decor and Furniture
- New Crops and Recipes
- More Character Customization Options
- Beards!
- Nintendo Switch Release
- Full Controller Support
- More Quality of Life Improvements
Of course, we have already seen some of these roadmap plans come to fruition with the 0.170 update featuring new Halloween-themed activities and romance questlines.
As for controller support, it seems as though we’ll have to wait a little longer for another update this year.
