The ‘Operation De-Geelate’ quest is issued mid-Autumn of your first year, on day eight Matilda will send the player a letter informing them that the train service will no longer function due to structural damage of the bridge, majorly affecting the town’s water supply.

The subsequent town meeting by the Town Hall issues the ‘Operation De-Geelate’ quest, where the player is tasked with building a Suspended Tram Cart. Do this and follow the quest to clear out the Gecko Station Ruins.

The bridge will still need repaired after this encounter so, attend the fireside meeting the following day and the Matilda will stress the importance of the entire community pitching in to help rebuild the bridge. You can visit each of the townsfolk and request that they help contribute with the repair to ensure this.

Sleep and the next day Heidi will visit to outline her plans for fixing the bridge. She will ask you to make two Trusses. Completing this and bridge related commissions will help towards fixing the bridge and unlocking the Gecko Station Ruins. To successfully complete the Trusses you’ll need upgraded machinery, including an upgraded Furnace. The crafting recipe for this is available at the Research Centre from Qi.

Once you’ve completed the quests ‘Operation De-Geelate’ and ‘In Trusses We Trust’ to fix the bridge, Iron Scrap will also become available at the Eufaula Salvage Yard and Shop. Simply rest and the following day from the ‘Operation De-Geelate’ quest, Rocky will mail the player with information containing how to purchase Iron Ore.
