Fancy testing your SAS-esque Call of Duty skills out for real? Well, the Modern Warfare 2 campaign Realism mode is just for you.

The Realism mode takes the difficulty of the campaign to new heights, severely limiting your health and making enemy operators much more aware of your location - once they've spotted you, there's no surviving. While the new campaign pushes MW2 into new territory through crafting, you will need to pull out all of the stops to stay alive.

But you might be struggling to find where to play the enhanced difficulty mode. Well, here's how to unlock the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Realism Mode...

How To Unlock Realism Mode In Modern Warfare 2 Campaign

There's one condition to facing the Modern Warfare 2 Realism mode, and it's quite a big one.

In order to unlock Realism, you'll need to have defeated the entire campaign on any difficulty. That's every mission from start to finish, not just replaying the final mission on the heightened skill mode. Once you've completed each mission on any difficulty, Realism will appear as a difficulty for you to choose on your next playthrough.

It's quite befitting that you'll have to beat the whole game just to unlock the real boss, but that's just how video games work - there is always a bigger and better baddie to defeat, and this time its Realism mode AI.
