The Lost Ark Vertus Pet has been a highly sought after item since the huge update that dropped in April, which added the Ark Pass, a new continent, and much more. Pets are a big part of any MMO, and Lost Ark especially leans into this with its litany of different creatures that you can employ to follow you around. So if you need to know how to get the Vertus Pet in Lost Ark, we've got you covered.

  • We also have a breakdown of the Lost Ark Super Express event that was released with the April update, so check out how to get more resource for increasing your equipment level.

The Vertus Pets have been immensely popular due to their cute and cuddle looks, as they are baby dragons. They are based on the tier one Guardian Raid boss called Vertus, and come in four different colours: yellow, light blue, purple, and dark blue. Currently, you can only earn one of these pets by parting with some cash, as they are a reward in the Lost Ark Pass that was released during the April update.

The pass comes with three different tracks to earn rewards, free, premium, and super premium, but the Vertus Pets are only available on the premium track as the final reward for reaching level 30. After reaching this, you will get a Vertus Pet Selection Chest which allows you to select which of the ones you want to be your new little buddy. The premium version of the Ark Pass is only available for purchase until June 18, and if you buy it you have until July 14 to finish it, otherwise you won't be able to gain the rewards. There's no news on whether the developers will provide another way for players to get Vertus Pets afterwards, but it's safe to assume this is the only way for now.

With the pass, you will just need to complete specific missions to earn experience and level it up, but there is a weekly cap of 500 XP, meaning you should begin sooner rather than later if you plan on getting the Vertus Pet before the July 14 deadline.

That's all for our explainer on how to get the Vertus Pet in Lost Ark, and now you know how to claim one of the cute dragons.

We also have a primer on how to get the Lost Ark Token of Protection so you can access the recent Chaos Line dungeon.
