The Halo Infinite Harbinger boss fight is the final one of the game, so if you’ve made it this far, well done. She's a fairly difficult boss, due to the waves of enemies you'll have to face off with, and the three distinct phases she presents. Many of the bosses in this Halo force players to make use of all their equipment and the skills they pick up over the course of the campaign. This last fight is no different, so read on for the breakdown of the Halo Infinite Harbinger boss fight.

The last boss of Halo Infinite, isn't really a member of the Banished. The Harbinger is a Xalanyn, an ancient race of aliens who were imprisoned by forerunners in Cylix's (genetic repositories) due to their ability to avoid the effects of the Halo Array. However, upon being awoken by Escharum, she allies with the Banished in order to free the rest of her race from the Cylix's.

As the very last battle of the game, no matter the difficulty you play on, it's greatly improved by acquiring the best Halo Infinite upgrades for equipment. It's also littered with other enemies, as at the beginning of the Harbinger's three phases, she'll unlock doors for Banished to emerge from. Much of the fight is spent lowering her shields, but you don't always have to chip away at her health.

For the first phase, you will need to initially fight off two waves of Banished soldiers. A neat trick for this is to watch for the door to glow blue, and instantly throw grenades to deal with the soldiers just as they enter. After the Banished are banished, the room's light changes to indicate the Harbinger's turn to fight.

She has two attacks, a large orb that shoots beams of energy and a swipe from behind. Avoid both with clever use of your equipment, and use whatever plasma weaponry you can find to drop her shields and end the first round. The Sentinel Beam is one of the best weapons for this and plasma grenades, as she is slow for this part of the fight.

The second phase will see you deal with even more waves of Banished opponents, but once again time your grenades right to finish them off quickly. After the light changes again, it's time for round two with a much stronger Harbinger.

She moves faster and there are two beams that emanate from the orb this time, so prioritise the Thruster equipment for this section. Due to how fast she is, you'll also want to keep a hold of the Sentinel Beam to break her shields down. Once you've done so, keep damaging her with kinetic weapons and Fusion Coils until the next phase activates.

The final wave of Banished is the toughest and has a Brute Chieftain with a Gravity Hammer for you to deal with, so Grapple away and try to kill the other enemies before focusing on the Brute. If you time your grenades well enough though, you may be able to essentially kill him before he becomes a problem.

As the lights shift once more, and you prepare for the final battle with The Harbinger, just focus on lowering her shields to win the fight. She'll begin attacking with even more intensity than before, but keep your nerve and continue using the Thrusters to dodge her attacks and hide below the big ramp for refuge. If you still have a Sentinel Beam by this point, blast her with it until you're done. If you follow these steps correctly, you'll have finished Halo Infinite, nice going!

That's our Halo Infinite Harbinger boss fight breakdown, and if you followed these steps correctly, you'll have finished Halo Infinite.
