Challenges have become a critical part of the Fortnite experience. Challenges offer players a creative and interesting way to earn bundles of XP. Completing challenges is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass and unlocking exclusive skins like Lara Croft and Raven from Teen Titans.

Week 7 may go down as the easiest week of challenges in Fortnite history. Theoretically, players could complete all seven of Week 7’s challenges in a single game.

Each Week 7 challenge grants a sizable 24,000 XP. Completing all seven Week 7 challenges will grant players a whopping 168,000 XP.

Behind a week or two on challenges? Don’t worry — we have you covered. Check out our Week 6 or Week 5 Challenge Guides if you need help completing any challenges from previous weeks.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Week 7 Fortnite Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 7 challenge and the best strategies for completing them.

Makeshift weapon elimination (1) - 24,000 XP

As we said, this may be the easiest week of challenges in Fortnite history. Week 7 begins by asking players to score one elimination with a Makeshift weapon.

Makeshift weapons are the base weapons of Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 6. Makeshift weapons come in the following forms:

  • Makeshift Submachine Gun
  • Makeshift Shotgun
  • Makeshift Revolver
  • Makeshift Rifle
  • Makeshift Bow

Makeshift weapons are extremely prevalent and can be found all over the island via ground loot and chests. Grab one and secure a single elimination to unlock 24,000 XP.

Primal weapon elimination (1) - 24,000 XP

Identical to the challenge above, except this time, players must earn an elimination with a Primal weapon.

Primal weapons are a newly released weapon type capable of dealing high damage in exchange for their lack of accuracy. The four types of Primal weapons are:

  • Primal SMG
  • Primal Shotgun
  • Primal Rifle
  • Primal Pistol

Players can handcraft Primal weapons using Chapter 2 - Season 6’s Crafting system. Fusing a Makeshift weapon with four Animal Bones will create a Primal weapon of the corresponding type. Additionally, Primal weapons can sometimes be found as loot.

Consider crafting a Primal gun using your Makeshift weapon from the last challenge as the foundation. Use your new weapon to take out one opponent, and you’ll receive 24,000 XP.

Mechanical weapon elimination (1) - 24,000 XP

Noticing a pattern? Wrapping up this trio of challenges, players must secure one elimination with a Mechanical weapon.

Mechanical weapons are the traditional guns long-term Fortnite players are used to. Mechanical weapons have high accuracy but lower damage. The Mechanical weapons currently available include:

  • Submachine Gun
  • Pump Shotgun
  • Assault Rifle
  • Revolver

Nowadays, players can craft Mechanical weapons using a Makeshift weapon and four Mechanical Parts. Like Primal weapons, Mechanical weapons can also be found rarely as ground loot and in chests.

Find one of these old-fashioned guns via looting or craft one yourself. Now, all that’s left is to take down an opponent. An impressive 24,000 XP will be awarded on your first elimination.

Mark weapons of different rarity (1) - 24,000 XP

As most players should know by now, Fortnite has a Ping or Marking system similar to the one made famous by Apex Legends. Players can mark locations, enemies, and items as a way to relay the information to allies.

Looking at something and pressing the Place Marker key will ping the location, enemy, or item for all friendly players to see. On Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, the Place Marker button is left on the D-Pad by default. On mouse and keyboard, pressing down on the middle mouse button should place a marker.

Place a marker on a weapon of any rarity to complete this challenge.

Collect meat or peppers (5) - 24,000 XP

For this challenge, players must collect five pieces of meat and/or peppers total.

Meat is a new Foraged item introduced in Chapter 2 - Season 6. Meat has multiple uses. Meat heals 5 health when consumed, it can be used as bait to lure certain animals, and it is used in different Crafting recipes. Meat is acquired through hunting animals and wildlife on the Fortnite island.

Peppers are another Foraged item. Peppers spawn exclusively through Produce Boxes. Produce Boxes are commonly found at Gas Stations and the points-of-interest (POIs) of Retail Row, The Orchard, Catty Corner, and Coral Castle.

Consume Foraged items (3) - 24,000 XP

The next challenge requires the player to consume three Foraged items. Luckily for us, we already have those on hand.

Simply eat three servings of the meat/peppers you collected for the above challenge. Just like that, two more challenges checked off the list.

Hunt Raptors (2) - 24,000 XP

The final challenge of Week 7 asks players to hunt down two Raptors. Raptors are the latest form of wildlife added to Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 6.

Raptors hunt in packs and can be quite dangerous. These prehistoric creatures deal 25 damage per bite and are impossible to outrun. Underestimating a pack of Raptors could prove fatal.

Raptors can be found around the island at POIs such as Stealthy Stronghold, Misty Meadows, The Spire, and Weeping Woods.

With a pack in sight, equip your best weapon and concentrate your fire on one Raptor at a time. A few on-target shots should put it down. Eliminate two total Raptors to wrap up the Week 7 challenges.
