There are plenty of Job classes in FFXIV, with two new Jobs being announced at FFXIV Fan Fest, as well as a limited Job to come. Dawntrail is the newest expansion on the horizon and has players eager to know more about it.

Here is everything you need to know about Viper, the latest Job to be announced for FFXIV.

The Viper Job is a job class that is a fast-paced melee DPS that uses two swords that can transform, similar to the weapons in Bloodborne. The weapons transform into a single two-handed weapon.

In order to play this class, you’ll need to focus on Dexterity as a stat for Viper. They can deliver fast-light attacks and a barrage of slashes to the enemy. However, once their weapon is transformed, the attacks are heftier and can do some significant damage to an enemy.

They can also boost their damage temporarily by giving themselves a buff which is indicated by a blue aura.

This Job won’t have any extra requirements to unlock them other than owning Dawntrail and having one other character at level 80.

Viper has the same Limit Breaks available to other melee classes, so you won’t have to get used to anything different, except the level three Limit Break which has yet to be announced.
