Where can you find the Jamal's Crate key?

To find the location of Jamal's Crate key in Dead Island 2, you will first need to progress through the game until you come to the Ocean Avenue region. 

As mentioned earlier, Jamal's Crate key is used to open both Jamal's Stash and Jamal's Ammo. These are two containers that can be found in the Halperin Hotel area next to a red truck that's located in a ditch within the road itself. However, you won't be able to get the key itself until you are much further into the game.

How to get Jamal's Crate key

Once you've completed the 'Plumbing The Depths' main story quest in Ocean Avenue, you will be able to access the Missing Persons Reports in the safehouse of this area. These contain missions that task you with locating missing people. 

One of the Missing Persons Reports is called Missing: Jamal, which you will need to start, causing Jamal to spawn so you can find the Crate key location: 

• The mission will direct you to Halperin Hotel, tasking you with locating Jamal by investigating the two security offices in the area. 
• In one of them, you will find a journal entry called Our Fellow Security Guard, where you learn Jamal had a red truck.

• With the directive to find the red truck, you will need to follow the road away from the hotel, until you come to the massive ditch in the road caused by the earthquake. 
• Here you will find an armoured zombie named 'Jamal?' and killing him will drop the Crate key, finally allowing you to open both Jamal's Stash and Ammo containers. 

The locations of Jamal and his containers are essentially the same (as marked on the map above), but following the Missing: Jamal mission will direct you right toward him anyway.
