The Box Office Safe key can only be located in Dead Island 2 on Hollywood Boulevard after you have completed the game's final main quest. 

You'll likely come across the Theater Box Office Safe itself before you finish the game, as it can be found just off the red carpet. 

From the helicopter, head over the fence toward the carpet and stick to the left as you follow it along. You'll soon see a gap in the wall, leading to the door to the ticket office. Head inside and break the boxes to find the Theater Box Office Safe in the corner.

How to get the Box Office Safe key

In order to get the Box Office Safe key, follow the below steps:

• Once you know the location of the Theater Box Office Safe, finish the final main quest called 'Hollywood Ending'.
• After you are allowed to freely explore LA again, head out of the re-aging clinic safehouse toward the red carpet.

• Look behind the bleachers (marked on the map above), where you can find the portable toilets, and you should see a zombie called Nick The Usher. 
• Defeat him, and he'll drop the Dead Island 2 Box Office Safe key for you. 

After killing Nick The Usher and grabbing the Box Office Safe key, head back to the ticket kiosk and open up the Theater Box Office Safe for a Superior Ranged Puncturator Mod and some cash.
