In one of the more unconventional announcements for the game, Nicolas Cage is coming soon to Dead by Daylight. With the Player Test Build underway, now is the perfect time to get you up to speed with everything you need to know about this new survivor.

So, we’re going to break down his release date, unique perks and lore in the game, so that you know everything about Nicolas Cage in the run-up to his release.

When is Nicolas Cage coming to Dead by Daylight?

Nicolas Cage will be coming to Dead by Daylight on Tuesday, July 25. This will coincide with the mid-chapter update that will see several changes to several meta perks and killer powers.

Nicolas Cage was one of the surprise announcements to come out of Dead by Daylight’s Anniversary Event and comes not long after the release of the latest chapter: End Transmission.

Like every survivor in Dead by Daylight, Nicolas Cage comes with three unique perks: Dramaturgy, Plot Twist and Scene Partner. However, these aren’t the most conventional perks in the game, so you’re going to need to use them wisely:

Description

Dramaturgy

While running when healthy, press the Active Ability button to run with knees high for 0.5 seconds to gain a +25 % Haste Status Effect for 2 seconds, followed by one of the following effects:

·       Suffer from the Exposed Status Effect for 12 seconds.

·       Extend the duration of the Haste Status Effect for another 2 seconds.

·       Scream, but without notifying the Killer.

·       Receive a random rare item, with a random selection of add-ons to it, automatically dropping any previously held Item.

Dramaturgy then causes Exhaustion for up to 40 seconds.

Plot Twist

Plot Twist can only be used when injured. While crouching, press the Active Ability button to enter the Dying State. This will:

·       Suppress grunts of pain

·       Suppress pools of blood

·       Allows you to fully recover

After fully recovering, gain 50% Hates for up to 4 seconds.

Scene Partner

Whenever you are inside the Terror Radius, Scene Partner activates: Looking at the Killer causes you to scream, which reveals their Aura for 5 seconds.

There is a chance that you will scream again, extending the Aura-reveal duration by another 2 seconds.

Scene Partner has a cool-down of 60 seconds.

Who is Nicolas Cage in Dead by Daylight?

Nicolas Cage, quite simply, is Nicolas Cage in Dead by Daylight. Rather than playing a character, it is the actor himself who is entering the Realm of the Entity.

After reading a script for a movie called Descend Beyond (a nod to the chapter of the same name that introduced The Blight and Felix Richter), Nic saw it as the role of a lifetime.

However, as he delivered his lines in the murky temple set, he soon became engulfed in the darkest fog of The Entity. While he initially thought it was a joke, it soon became clear that the nightmare was real.

Let’s just hope his horror movie credentials pay off, and he can survive the horrors of Dead by Daylight.

That’s everything you need to know about Nicolas Cage in Dead by Daylight. If you’re looking for more horror icons to play, be sure to check out everything you need to know about Albert Wesker in Dead by Daylight.
