Chapter 28 of Dead by Daylight, End Transmission, is on the way alongside a brand new Killer, Survivor, and map within The Entity's Realm - so here's a breakdown of everything it includes alongside its release date and start time.

Hot on the heels of DbD's Tools of Torment DLC, details on the game's 28th Chapter were showcased during their 7th-anniversary broadcast - and we're going to space, y'all. Featuring a new biome, an AI that has been corrupted by alien technology, and some pretty cool-sounding new tools to add to a player's disposal, let's get into everything we know so far.

End Transmission releases today, June 13, 2023, at 8 AM PT / 11 AM EST / 4 PM BST across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, meaning there's not too much longer to go until players can dive into the upcoming Chapter of Dead by Daylight.

Gamers were previously able to test out the upcoming additions to DbD on its Public Test Build back in late May - commonly known simply as the PTB, but this has been closed now for some time.

As mentioned earlier, End Transmission sends us off to space in a new, otherworldly map within The Entity's Realm known as Toba Landing, which is said to be "a unique biome with menacing flora and atmosphere unlike anything on Earth".

Featuring three areas you'll need to navigate, from jungle areas to abandoned buildings, remains of previous inhabitants and what's known as the Huxlee Corporation, the map itself is slated to prove "as much of a challenge as evading the Killer".

Gabriel Soma is the newest Survivor in the ever-expanding roster of characters within Dead by Daylight, who is said to be "a talented technician with keen senses and determination."

As the sole Survivor of a doomed mission and caretaker of the Huxlee hub on Toba Landing, he has a tool called the EMP, which is randomly placed on the map when facing off against the new Killer, and can be used to disable or remove its particular skills.

Gabriel Soma Perks

As shown on the PTB, Gabriel Soma's Perks in DbD will enable opportunities for aura reading, alongside toolbox recharges and a boost in running speed:

Perk Description
Made For This Activates when you are in the Injured state, allowing you to run 3% faster, and gain the Endurance status effect for 10 seconds after you finish headline a Survivor. Cannot be used when suffering from Exhaustion.
Scavenger

Allows you to rummage through an opened chest once per trial to guarantee a basic toolbox.

When holding an empty toolbox, succeeding a great skill check while repairing gains 1 token to a maximum of 4, which will then deplete all tokens before fully recharging the toolbox

Scavenger will then disable following a toolbox recharge for the rest of the Trial.

Troubleshooter

When chased by The Killer, you see the aura of the Generator with the most progress, and the aura of the Killer for 6 seconds after dropping a Pallet.

Lasts for 10 seconds after being in a chase.

Saving what may arguably be one of the coolest parts of the End Transmission Chapter to last, we have the DLC's new Killer - The Singularity.

Said to be "an enlightened AI corrupted by alien technology that can spy on Survivors anywhere on the map", The Singularity can place BioPods (camera-like devices) onto vertical surfaces in order to control it remotely and then spy on and tag Survivors, before being able to then use Slipstream to teleport them and begin a chase.

Survivors with Temporal Slipstream can also spread this to other Survivors depending on how close they are to one another. According to the press release, "players will need to rethink their strategies, as The Singularity’s Power turns cooperation on its head" due to this effect.

The Singularity Perks & Power DbD

Perks-wise, The Singularity has tools available to it in order to slow down Survivors, giving you the perfect opportunity to speed up and swoop in for an attack. Alongside its Power, Quantum Instantiation, which was touched on above in relation to BioPods, The Singularity looks to be a Killer that has a lot of potential out in The Fog.

Perk  Description
Forced Hesitation When a Survivor is put into the dying state by any means, all other Survivors standing within a 16-metre range around them suffer the Hindered status effect for 10 seconds, reducing their movement speed by 15%. Has a cooldown of 40 seconds.
Genetic Limits When a Survivor finishes the healing action, they suffer from Exhaustion for 32 seconds.
Machine Learning

After damaging a generator, Machine Learning activates, with the next generator you damage being compromised until it's completed.

Once it's complete, you become Undetectable and gain 7% Haste for 30 seconds before the perk deactivates.

The Quantum Instantiation Power works as follows:

  • Special State: Overclock Mode - After a successful Slipstream teleport, The Singularity enters Overclock Mode. In this state, walls and pallets can be destroyed faster, vaulting speed is faster, and he can't be stunned with pallets. However, pallet stuns during Overclock Mode will momentarily slow him, also removing the Overclock Mode.
  • Special Interaction: Electromagnetic Pulse - At the beginning of each Trial, Supply Cases will appear on the map that contains an EMP, which can be used to remove the Slipstream from each other before the EMP is then destroyed. Additionally, it can also briefly disable BioPods.
