If you've been dropkicking zombies off rooftops all weekend, you may be wondering, can you paraglide between regions in Dying Light 2? Dying Light 2 is a massive open-world adventure with plenty of skills to unlock, challenges to complete, and a whole expansive story to work through too, but sometimes exploring and experimenting with the world takes precedent. And with a huge emphasis on parkour, who could blame you for wondering if you can travel from Old Villedor to the Central Loop without the use of fast travel or going through tunnels. In this guide we’ll answer the all-important question, can you paraglide from Old Villedor to the Central Loop in Dying Light 2?

  • Of course this would require the paraglider, so go check out our guide on how to unlock the Dying Light 2 paraglider

So, can you paraglide between regions in Dying Light 2? Sadly, you can't, and it will come as a disappointment to those otherwise impressed by the game’s traversal system. Heading to Old Villedor, in the closest point between the two regions, you'd expect to be able to reach the city via the use of the paraglider, especially considering how small a distance there is between them. However, if you try to travel across the bridge between the two cities, you will be met with an invisible wall. Even paragliding you will steadily lose altitude before landing in the harmful chemicals.

You can still, however, just travel directly to the Central Loop from Old Villedor, thanks to the tunnel you use when first arriving in the second explorable area. Pushing through the tunnel you can then paraglide towards the river which you will see to the left and follow that until you hit the dam. You may need to acquire the Dying Light 2 grappling hook to swing past more hazardous chemicals. Once you've run up and over the hill, you will easily be able to cross the river and enter the Central Loop.

While a little disappointing, now you know whether you can paraglide between regions in Dying Light 2. If you are still looking to master your survival skills, check out our Dying Light 2 tips, so you can get ahead.
