Balancing a game like Warzone must be a headache of unbelievable proportions for its teams. Despite its many bugs and glitches still in need of fixing, the Call of Duty battle royale icon needs devs focused on its weapon metas to ensure nothing spirals out of control.

It's a tough job to ensure that arguments and domination don't overtake the game when it comes to weapon and perk choices. Now, it looks like the latter might be about to crash into chaos with a returning item set appear on Rebirth Island.

It looks as though perk-based carnage might be making its return to Warzone in its next big update. Raven Software left players with a huge tease back in January, sharing an image and asking, "What are some of the features we’re preparing for well ahead of time - you ask?"

With the Specialist case resting against a wall on Rebirth Island, it wasn't too hard to join the dots that the beloved Perk would be back whenever Rebirth Island returned. That Resurgence map is rejoining Warzone for the first time since 2022 in Season 3, and alongside it, Specialist is also making a welcome return.

The Specialist Perk gives players every Perk in the game for the match, so it's no wonder that you're excited about its return. The item itself is pretty rare, so be ready for an intense search and to swat others away from the highly-contested Perk.

Over on the official Season 3 notes, Activision confirmed the Specialist Perk is making its grand return. As well as the new Utility Box field upgrade that gifts armor and ammunition after opening, there's the return of the original Warzone's Foresight killstreak that reveals every future gas circle.

As for where to find the Specialist Perk, the description says, "It's only very rarely found at a [[REDACTED]] or in specific [[REDACTED]]," suggesting its full secrets aren't ready to be unlocked just yet. Being able to boast a whopping 29 Perks is quite something, even if it's only for the remainder of the match.

Fans are fascinated to see just how hard they can take advantage of equipping all of the game's perks at once. It was probably removed from the game as an OP piece of kit for a reason, but thank goodness the devs haven't learned their lesson.
