Warzone 2 Season 4 arrived on June 14, with the CoDverse's next major update introducing a huge amount of new content to the game.

Whether it's the Vondel map, the ISO 45 SMG, or the Tempus Razorback AR, most of the fresh additions have been positively received.

Unfortunately, that isn't the case for the new nuke reward skin that was added in the patch for anyone who completes the Champion's Quest. Slamming the cosmetic as 'horrible' and 'unfinished', the WZ2 community isn't happy with the design or theme.

Warzone 2 players flame 'horrible' Nuke reward skin

Popular Call of Duty personality ModernWarzone took to Twitter to ask their followers for their thoughts on the new Titan 239 Nova Operator skin.

This sparked a massive response from CoD fans, calling out the cosmetic's 'terrible' design that from their perspective, looks 'unfinished.'

For a lot of players, the Titan 239 looks too much like a skin from Fortnite and just doesn't fit the Call of Duty aesthetic.

As the nuke requirement to get hold of the skin is so tough, it'll be interesting to see if players lose interest in completing the challenge for a reward they think is 'ugly' and 'ridiculous.'

Why did the WZ2 devs go with this Nuke skin design?

One disgruntled gamer fumed, "Ain't no way.. This gotta be a skin that was rejected for the main store LOL," while another added, "It looks heavily improvised. As if they went 'oh sh*t, the new season is tomorrow, we need a new nuke operator skin. Here just use this blue blob and give him a plate carrier.'"

A lot of players are confused why the Warzone 2 devs and designers decided to create a more flashy skin with Titan 239. While it's only speculation, it's possible it was in response to the criticism of the previous Apparition Operator nuke skin for being too boring and basic.

One player mused, "Don't know where the hate is coming from for this skin. people complained the original Nuke reward skin was too basic, so they add a really outlandish operator skin that is different than anything we’ve gotten cosmetic wise… and people still aren’t happy. skin looks amazing."

In the eyes of the community, the devs have gone too far in the other direction this time, so it'll be interesting to see where they go next with nuke rewards.
