Geralt of Rivia is a man of many talents. An undefeated broad swordsman. A deadeye marksman capable of sending a single arrow through the eye of a bear. A world-renowned chef specialising in weird and wonderful creatures - his plat au spider eye is unrivalled. A master of the mane taking silver fox to the silver pony. A crafty literate of persuasion, competent of twisting the truth into a submissive weapon.

However, one thing that Geralt has never been able to put his time towards is snow sports. After all, he has a trusted steed for the travelling and doesn't get much downtime when saving Skellige from the Wild Hunt in a search to find his daughter.

With this latest The Witcher 3 mod though, Geralt can down tools and tear the ramps of Kaer Morhen on a snowboard.

The Geralt VGX Snowboarder mod allows a snowboard to be spawned at an altar overlooking the bay of Kaer Trolde in Skellige. Upon interacting with it, players can equip the board instead of the sword, or take the crunch of snow from beneath their feet using it as boots.

As you can see from the video, the mod is surprisingly convincing, acting on camera angles used from when Geralt is horseback.

With a large mountainous landscape on The Witcher 3, the snowboard does actually add more than a comedic element to the game, acting as a swift method of descending from peaks, but struggles on the uphill climb.

The mod can be downloaded here, should you want to get gnarly with Geralt, or simply feel like wrapping a board around the skull of a troll.

It's great fun.
