As one of the best ongoing MMOs ever created, EVE Online might've felt some ripples of fear through time and space with the launch of Starfield as the latest intergalactic blockbuster. But if there were any, they seem to have only been harnessed and spat back out with revenge.

Although the colossal title is now over two decades old, it has continued to grow in strength despite other universes cropping up in the gaming industry. EVE Online is set to release its latest expansion pack to continue rebuilding civilisation among the stars.

EVE Online - Equinox is the latest expansion coming to the star-lined galactic MMO, feeding on creativity and customisation.

CCP Games has just revealed Equinox, a new expansion for EVE Online, which will primarily allow capsulers to add their signature flare onto the nitty gritty game.

The pack will boost players' attempts to grasp greater control over the lawless nullsec region of space, "empower players to unleash their creativity" through a new SKINR toll. This will open doors to cover their ships in new cosmetic items and deliver more commerce and conflict to the Sandbox FPS mode Vanguard.

Equinox will push the imagination of capsulers in 2024, while CCP Games has also used its own design tools to the best of its ability to streamline the UI and ease the aesthetics of EVE Online.

The idea behind Equinox is mainly to allow more creativity in the MMO - alongside Vanguard's exciting new combat - and the developers are hoping that the "open-ended freedom" will see the most ambitious players rise to the top.

"EVE has always been defined by its players’ ability to forge their own destiny through economic dominance, political machinations and military conquest," said EVE Online Creative Director Bergur Finnbogason.

"With Equinox, we’re taking that open-ended freedom to new heights by giving pilots greater agency over nullsec’s valuable resources - while challenging them with the moral implications about the cost of such ambition."

He added, "We’re also extremely excited to see what amazing designs players will make with EVE’s new SKINR tool: the sky truly is the limit for personalizing your favourite ships."

EVE Online - Equinox is set to release on June 11, and players will be quick to get to the market to share and sell their best designs.
