Ahead of the pending acquisition of Activision from Microsoft, Sony and PlayStation are doing their best to give Xbox lovers one final middle finger and using Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone to do so.

Activision and Sony have always had a working relationship, and since the new-generation era of console wars, PlayStation has been one step ahead on the Call of Duty war fronts.

Having secured early Alpha access for consecutive years across Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, the same is set to be true for Modern Warfare 2 too, and that's not the extent of the luxuries for PS Plus subs.

PlayStation Vanguard Players Are Getting Free Items

Following the release of Fortune's Keep in Warzone Season 4, Sony is luring in PlayStation players with an exclusive "Expeditionary Combat Pack" bundle.

The rewards include a Legendary Operator Skin for Halima Zambardi, two Legendary Weapon Blueprints, a double XP token, and more customisation items.

The legendary blueprints include an "Ancient Ruins" variant of the DP27 LMG and an "Expeditionary Force" Double Barrel Shotgun. Given that the LMG meta is rife with the "most accurate gun of all time", this might want to be something you snap up.

How to Unlock The Expeditionary Combat Pack In Warzone

The Expeditionary Combat Pack is exclusive to all PlayStation Plus owners on both the PS4 and PS5.

All you need to do, should you have the eligible subscription, is head to the in-game store in Vanguard or Warzone, scroll down to "Misc" and claim the free Combat Pack.

Players can also redeem the Expeditionary Combat Pack Warzone bundle through the PlayStation store if they are away from their console.

Alongside the Alpha early access for Modern Warfare 2, this might be the last chance Sony and PlayStation has to give out free rewards in Call of Duty, so you might want to take full advantage of it before Xbox takes over.
