Someone Has Built A Greggs Shop In Far Cry 5
Great Britain has its fair share of icons. The cuppa, the Queen, the big red bus - all figureheads of our great isle. But none quite exemplify our culture quite like a good sausage roll. Greggs is a crucial part of our social consciousness, bleeding into our society as the place to get a solid sossy roll, or a fallback for a quick breakfast.
It would seem that gamers agree too, as one player has put themselves to work immortalising the bakery by adapting it to the world of Far Cry 5.
Player Recreates Greggs In Far Cry 5
YouTube creator Mojo Swoptops has been hard at work bringing the UK’s greatest achievement to the world of video games. They have used the game’s arcade mode to bring the bakery to life, and we have to say, it’s remarkably accurate.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen genius adaptations in the Far Cry 5 arcade mode - one fan even built Goldeneye 007 from the ground up in the world-builder.
Mojo Swoptops nails pretty much every element of Greggs that makes it so iconic. The fridges along the sides and heaters in front of the desk are a familiar site for the inhabitants of the UK, and while the world builder might not have literal sausage rolls at its disposal, the creator makes do with burgers, breakfast muffins and baskets of fruit in their place.
They even hit the nail on the head with the sign out in front, with those four little orange squares welcoming the player into the bakery. The creator even works on the outside of the bakery, really nailing its vibe, with rubbish littering the floor and an unconscious man with a bottle in his hand just outside. That’s the Greggs we know.

The Far Cry 5 world builder looks like a whopper of a tool, and we’ve got our fingers crossed we’ll see some more icons of the British high street adapted in-game. We’ll be waiting patiently for the Far Cry interpretation of a WH Smith’s.
