LEGO Animal Crossing set rinsed by fans for ridiculous reveal

The combination of Animal Crossing and LEGO is a no-brainer, with the cute locations from games and iconic characters making for brilliant sets. Until now, groove master K.K Slider hasn't appeared in the LEGO universe, but that's about to change.

Alongside his guitar, K.K. Slider has featured in a recent reveal of two brand-new Animal Crossing LEGO sets that are scheduled to be released very soon. While fans are excited, a disclaimer in the trailer has led to a light roasting and jokes at LEGO's expense.

Two new Animal Crossing LEGO sets are coming in August

As revealed by LEGO on April 26, two new LEGO Animal Crossing sets are on the way, and one of them even features K.K. Slider.

The sets themselves are the Airport, which features Dodo's blue building and (obviously) a plane. On top of this, there's also a Resident Services set which comes with a campervan, K.K. Slider, and seating.

These sets are due to arrive on August 1, 2024, so if you're an Animal Crossing fan, you won't have too long to wait.

It's not the set that's caused so much confusion, though. The trailer itself features a strange line that fans are repeating.

When K.K. Slider appears on screen in the trailer to play a tune, a line pops up saying, "LEGO K.K. minifigure doesn't actually sing or move." This seemingly obvious statement has led to countless jokes from the AC community, who can't believe this actually needed to be said.

"Thank you Lego for clarifying that KK does not sing or move, my expectations are still high, but now they are realistic," joked one fan, with another saying, "Wait, lego K.K. doesn't move or sing? Won't bother buying it."

Someone else concluded, "'LEGO K.K. minifigure doesn’t actually sing or move' oh thank god i was afraid he’d treat me to a damn steak dinner too." Of course, these are just jokes and the community is still incredibly excited, but no one quite knows whether LEGO is serious with this line.

Either way, if you were expecting K.K. to hop up from your LEGO set and start singing, at least you won't be disappointed when it arrives in person.
