GTA Online is in a weird place at the moment.

Naturally, everybody's excited for the freshly announced upcoming Grand Theft Auto game, a constant in this industry - but in the wake of the catastrophe that was The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, players are definitely putting developers Rockstar Games on watch, meaning many who would have previously flocked to pick up GTA V's next-gen upgrade will instead play a game of 'wait and see.'

And now, to make things worse, it looks like GTA Online has been exposed.

GTA Online Has A Frustrating Bug

An irritating bug has reared its head in GTA Online that is forcing players into spectator mode rather than letting them actually access the game.

The problem has been affecting a wealth of players, keeping them from actually getting into online servers and instead, forcing them into the backseat of other players' games, forcing them to see the game they want to play, but never actually letting them in.

Players have found a workaround for the bug, shared on the GTAOnline subreddit, but it's incredibly laborious and hardly worth the hassle - but really, they shouldn't be forced to have to fix the problem at all.

Luckily, though, it looks like Rockstar is on the case.

Rockstar Are Addressing The Spectator Glitch

According to leaker Tez2, Rockstar knows about the problem, and are working towards a fix for it. "Rockstar is now aware of the exploit, and will be addressing this soon, as per a source," reads their tweet.

If this is to be believed, then it's good news - especially as though it may seem menial, this may be one of the game's most widespread glitches.

We're glad the bug is on its way to a fix - especially as GTA Online doesn't often fall prey to bugs like this. And with the next-gen upgrade on the horizon, this is not a good look.
