Just when you think you've seen everything from Razer, the tech giant has unveiled a beautiful partnership with Visa and a new pre-paid credit card that lights up for the ultimate in gaming accessories. While Razer is known for partnering with the likes of Gears 5 and Star Wars for limited edition products, the company is moving in a new direction and entering the financial sector with its LED credit card.

Razer has already branched out from keyboards and mice to create everything from webcams to mobile phones. Although the credit card is nowhere near as out-there as Razer's watermelon and pomegranate gaming gum (yep, it really exists), it's one of the more unusual products the company has come up with.

Razer announced that the Razer Card is coming to Singapore. The plan is for the pre-paid card to give users a year-long cashback feature on all transactions. You can already sign up to use the virtual card for free, while there's also the chance to upgrade to a physical copy. The USP here is what Razer has dubbed, "The world’s first card that lights up on payment". The card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, with physical cards also making use of contactless technology.

When used for contactless payments, Razer's signature logo will light up in green and let everyone know you're a gaming fan. But is it just a gimmick or something actually worth parting with your cash for?

Lee Li Meng, chief executive officer of Razer Fintech, said, "Right from the start, we have been very excited about our collaboration with Visa to transform the digital payments experience globally. Over the last year, since our initial announcement, a lot of time and effort has gone into developing and perfecting this product, that is truly going to value-add significantly to the lifestyle of our users".

If it sounds like something you can imagine sitting in your wallet, the Razer card is being rolled out to a precise figure of 1,337 testers via an exclusive beta programme. There will reportedly be a game-inspired reward system where users will get to level up and receive Razer gear rewards. Unlike other loyalty schemes, you'll be able to track and score your points - also redeeming rewards by earning on everyday transactions.

Finally, the Razer Card will implement Razer Pay, which is the company's e-wallet app used in Singapore and Malaysia. It's unclear whether the Razer Card will be making the move to the UK or USA, but all in all, it's definitely one way to flash the cash in style.
