While the introduction of Twitch unban requests has helped overhaul the controversial way the streaming platform dishes out its bans, the new system has come with some strange side effects. Imane "Pokimane" Anys is arguably the biggest female streamer on Twitch, and with a massive following of male fans, it's no surprise things sometimes get a little X-rated. Pokimane is no stranger to giving people a ban from her channel, but with the ability to request an unban, she's getting an increased number of followers who just won't take no for an answer.

Much more than just that girl who plays League of Legends and Fortnite, Pokimane has continued to climb up the Twitch charts as a lucrative content creator. The chance to request an unban on Twitch comes with some weird and wonderful excuses - usually taking a leaf out of Shaggy's book by saying, "It wasn't me". Poki isn't afraid to open up to her followers about why she's banned people, but in her latest stream, she had to stop when an unban request left her speechless.

What was the Pokimane unban request?

Things were going as normal on Pokimane's channel during a February 2 stream, however, things took an unusual turn when she read an unban request from "atlis123". After several messages that repeatedly used the word "simp", she kicked them for the following: "How am I supposed to get hard when your facecam is an animation". Anys has been known to take a break from using her actual face in streams, instead opting to use her VTuber avatar.

When Anys read atlis123's message, she was visibly shocked and took herself off-camera for a few minutes. Weirder yet, the unban request simply read, "I do". A confused Pokimane explained the situation to her viewers. After telling her admirer, "Didn't ask to marry", she denied the unban request and told the world, "Why is the responsibility on me, to give you a hard-on? It’s hard for me to even say that sentence. Like why is that the responsibility of my stream?".

Having firmly given her potential suitor the boot, Anys turned to a game on unban bingo where she tried to tick off a list of standardised excuses. Unsurprisingly, the likes of "I was drunk" is a frequent one. Streamers like Pokimane and Felix "xQc" Lengyel are regulars at revealing some of the hilarious ban reasons and unban requests. Streamers don't have to even look at these, meaning they could just leave their banned viewers languishing in banned purgatory. Then again, some have realised going through them can make for interesting content on its own.

The unban request comes after Pokimane cut a stream short when she received an odd letter from a fan. Over the Christmas period, she opened one and asked, "Is this business? Why does this look so official?". Opening the letter, Anys started muttering to herself and then abruptly ended her stream. It's likely that this is a letter from a fan wanting to make a more meaningful connection. but as the mystery goes on, Pokimane hasn't explained what was inside. Here's hoping it was nicer than most of her unban requests.
