Pokemon's official Twitter account just released a creepy video that documents one man's journey in the mountains, as he searches for Pokemon. It's very much like The Blair Witch Project has come to Hisui, and appears to document this poor unknown man's demise.

Honestly, it sounds like we're joking - as Pokemon could not be further from horror with its family-friendly image, but it looks like all of that has been thrown out of the window, just in time for Halloween. Although the (presumably) open-world Arceus doesn't come out until January 28, 2022, this has got us hyped.

What Happens In The Pokemon Horror Teaser?

In the teaser video, we follow the journey of what seems to be a researcher as he delves into what appears to be the base of Mount Coronet. From what we know about Arceus, this video appears to be set in the time before the game. Which, as we know, is the time period when trainers had not yet discovered how to tame Pokemon.

During the two minute and five-second video, the man spots a group of Snorunts, before coming across an entirely new one. He says: "Is that... a Growlithe? No, a Vulpix... no, not that either. The tip of its tail is red and swaying. The white fur on top of its head and around its neck is so fluffy. Its eyes are round and yellow..." and that's it. He's then apparently attacked by said Pokemon.

What Have Fans Said About The Pokemon?

As you can imagine, the comments' section has gone wild. Based on the description, it could be a Hisuian Zorua or a Hisuian Flaaffy. Some commenters have even speculated it could be a new Evee evolution.

However, an educated guess would be Hisuian Arcanine.

All we know is that even if it is an evolved version of a Pokemon or a brand-new one entirely, this is not a creature we've come across before. Have fun figuring it out!
