While the rest of us are still struggling to get to grips with the new feature, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins has shared his surprising reaction to Fortnite's no building mode and he's not the only one.

Ninja shot to fame with his Fortnite playthroughs. Having been a dedicated fan of the online battle royale since 2017, he's done everything he can to protect Fortnite and fight for its survival. There have been moments when he's spoken out against Epic Games for various reasons, but Ninja's huge following has meant the game developer has continuously jumped to respond and bow down to his suggestions.

So, when Fortnite's building mode disappeared overnight, many believed that Ninja, as well as other esteemed players, would be livid. However, the group had a fairly surprising reaction to the change and have even called on it to be a permanent feature.

What Did Ninja Say About Fornite's No Building Mode?

Following on from the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 update, many players were shocked to discover that building had completely disappeared overnight. The change meant that players could no longer build structures to hide and protect themselves from enemies and would now have to stealthily use the environment as cover. Sure, the new Overshield might add some extra protection as compensation for the loss, but for many players, it was an unwelcome change.

So, fans were keen to see what Fortnite aficionado Ninja would have to say about the removed mechanic, especially when he's been so vocal about the game in the past. However, in a surprising twist, Ninja revealed that he is actually enjoying the removal of the building.

In a tweet posted on March 22, Ninja said that playing the game without building actually was "the most fun I've had on Fortnite in years." The statement sparked a heated debate from both sides of the argument among the YouTuber's fans. Some wholeheartedly agreed with the comment, while others, such as one particularly frustrated player simply said: "It's just sh*t without building."

How Did Other Streamers React To Fornite's No Build Mode?

Ninja wasn't the only popular Fortnite player to have a surprisingly positive reaction to Fortnite's new no build mode. Streamers Nick "NickEh30" Amyoony, Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar, and Turner "Tfue" Tenney have all shared their positive reviews of the new feature. NickEh30 who admitted he "never thought" he'd say this, reiterated Ninja's praise of the game and even demanded it be made permanent. Something that Tfue similarly agreed with

Even Dr Disrespect, who has been openly critical about Fortnite in recent times, said: "It was actually fun. Thought I'd never say that about Fortnite. Ever."

The heated debate about Fortnite's no build mode may still be bubbling away online. However, some of the world's most popular streamers have made their stance perfectly clear. Only time will tell if Epic Games decides to make it a permanent feature.
