NICKMERCS Believes Apex's Biggest Issue Will Be Eradicated In Storm Point
Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff has quickly become a household name in the Apex Legends community after making his switch over from Call of Duty: Warzone earlier this year. As the title reaches its eleventh season, the high-profile streamer has now predicted that the new Storm Point map will eradicate Apex's biggest in-game issue.
Having soared to Master rank alongside a range of other famous content creators like Turner "Tfue" Tenney and Dennis "Cloakzy" Lapore, NICKMERCS has dedicated his future to Apex Legends, even opting to hold a $50k MFAM Gauntlet on the game, which he usually keeps exclusive to the Call of Duty franchise.
Even in the midst of Warzone's new map, Caldera, NICKMERCS has eyed Apex's fourth battleground arrival as his main interest, expressing that it looks "incredible" before claiming that it could fix the most broken part of the game: third parties.
Apex Legends players will be more than familiar with a third party, even extending the invitation to a fourth, fifth, and sixth group if there are enough party hats and balloons in the vicinity. With a slower healing system than other battle royale titles, teams will often hibernate nearby a fight until layers start to drop, coming in to finish off the wounded and taking the spoils for themselves. However, Storm Point is set to change this, according to NICKMERCS.
Speaking on a recent YouTube upload, NICKMERCS claimed that because Storm Point is 20% bigger than the other maps, third parties will be much harder, adding a better tactical and competitive edge.
"It’s going to be 20% bigger than any we’ve had yet, which I think is really good for [preventing] third parties. It'll be fire," he said.
He was also full of praise for the new POIs and areas released through the trailer, claiming it looks "crazy". NICKMERCS previously expressed that a pacific and jungle-esque setting is his favourite, back when rumours started to surface about Warzone's switch to a paradise island styled map.
Apex Legends fans will be hopeful that NICKMERCS' comments will come true, although the new dynamics of wildlife may also attract more than wild beasts when using them for loot - be careful of the hunters, Apex players, especially with Ash's Ultimate on the prowl.
