Cover your eyes "TTV_Wraith_X", and all the other Wraith mains on Apex Legends, as this is something you're not going to want to know, unless you can face the harsh truth. A new legend is coming to Apex, and players believe that her abilities are finally going to end Wraith supremacy.

Poor little Wraith has been dealt blow after blow over the last couple of Apex Legends seasons, with the spiral starting when Respawn Entertainment decided to strip her of the signature Naruto run, before adding a range of nerfs to her Voidwalker tactical ability.

Once the queen of Kings Canyon, Wraith has dwindled in pick-rate percentages, but still remains as one of the more tactically adept legends in the right hands. Now, she is slowly falling down the pecking order, with sweats opting to inject themselves with some of Octane's hopium juice and barge through the map at breakneck speed.

Despite still being a half-decent choice, especially in high ranks, Wraith's coffin may finally be nailed with the introduction of a new legend: Ash.

Wraith's selling point is her gung-ho attitude with a get out of jail free card. Her Voidwalker tactical allows her to get in the face of enemies before turning spectral and moving away without getting an R301 clip in the back. The disengagement tactic makes her the perfect aggressor, although the delay on her tactical is limiting Wraith's effectiveness.

Coming to the arena in Season 11 is Ash, a meddlesome mechanic agent with a taste for the dark arts. Hell-bent on getting revenge, Ash also has a disengagement ultimate, which works in a very similar way to Wraith's void. With a slash of her sword, Ash can teleport over medium distances, pretty much instantly, rendering Wraith's slower voidwalk moot.

Despite her abilities only being leaks, and not a confirmed depiction of how she will move, it's likely that Ash's Ultimate will drive players away from Wraith, putting the final nail in her coffin.

Many people have already been driven to Loba too, whose tactical also allows for a teleport, although her bracelet's lengthy animation is sometimes the result of her downfall.

With a large variety of legends that can now do everything that Wraith can do, and more, it might be time to put those well-earned crafting materials to good use with a Legendary Ash skin.
