There will likely be world peace before the casual and competitive sides of the Call of Duty community can live harmoniously.
The Call of Duty community is split between those who just want to have fun and those who want to strive to be the best players they can be.
But now, it appears we might have some harmony after all, as Modern Warfare 2's addition of a Ranked mode - and a thumping good one at that - will hopefully clean the public playlists from all sweaty behaviour.
MW2 Casuals Can't Wait For Sweats To Leave
As Season 2 beckons and Ranked play is poised to be one of the most successful modes of its kind, the casual community is excited at the prospect of having their camo grind left uninterrupted.
Taking to Reddit, some fans have claimed that the game will be much better now that the Ranked system has been added, and they can be left without the sweats.
The current version of Modern Warfare 2 has been dubbed as somewhat of a levelling-up simulator for Warzone, and Ranked will likely only heighten this given that the die-hard players will finally have a home.
Modern Warfare 2 Players Cannot Wait For Ranked
We've been warned that the first few days of the Ranked game mode won't be entirely balanced, forcing some competitive players back to the casual playlists, given that anyone from professionals to basic barry all starts in Bronze.
The casual playlists will only be good "for the first few weeks," though, according to another fan, before "all the tryhards will have all the grindable stuff and move back to pubs".
But at least there will be ample time for players to enjoy Dome and Museum in peace, and continue to work towards Orion.
