We all remember Call of Duty's fan-favourite Damascus camo, right? The beautiful midnight, purple, pearlescent weapon skin with crimson swirls and a swimming yellow tint?

The Modern Warfare 2019 master camo was one of the best that we've had since Black Ops 2's Cherry Blossom, and nothing since has lived up to its legend.

However, maybe that's how it should be. Maybe, the Damascus camo should be left in the CoD museum, as its recent transition into an Operator skin has flopped completely.

Modern Warfare 2's Damascus Operator is being called a 'gimp suit'

The new Damascus skin Operator was recently released into Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, with early leaks suggesting that Roze 4.0 was on the cards:

But after officially hitting the store with a huge premium price of $24, Call of Duty fans are less than impressed. In fact, MW2 players have been left bitterly disappointed, branding it as a "gimp suit" and heavily despising its Fortnite-esque approach.

"It literally looks like a Gimp Suit," said one fan on Reddit. "Damascus? More like DOMMascus," added another. Most were also appalled by the price tag too."$24 used to be the price for DLCs where you used to get a new map gun and a new quest line," said one disgruntled gamer.

Another added, "The prices are absolutely insane. I can't believe that this is the ideal price they came up with after several games' worth of purchasing data. The fact that a sizeable amount of people are paying this much for barebones bundles in a game that's already worth like $40-100 to begin with, is honestly embarrassing."

The tight-skinned Damascus Operator camo does appear to be getting some buyers, especially Warzone fans who want to stay hidden. That's thanks to its in-game look is substantially darker than it seems in the shop window. Maybe though, there are sum that just like its "gimp suit" vibe.
