The addition of the Season 2 Reloaded map, Himmelmatt Expo, has caused quite a scene within the Modern Warfare 2 community.
Having split opinions in Ranked play - specifically with the pro players who clashed over a debate to have Expo Control replace that of Al Bagra Fortress' - the snow-capped map has now begun creating more mayhem.
Decorated in a fine frost, the buildings are all wooden, which would presumably be quite a fire hazard to anyone living there. So, fire extinguishers are on hand. But they don't appear to be the safety buffer that they are intended to be.
Fire extinguishers are blowing up MW2 players
Found by Reddit user "Vesqu," fire extinguishers can be blown up by players and will then kill anyone in the near vicinity of it. Worse still (or better depending how you look at it), that's even with the Bomb Squad perk attached.
Players have discovered fire extinguishers are working in similar ways to gas tanks in previous games, although they are a bit sneakier, given that they appear nonchalant.
Funnily enough, the extinguisher has its own kill-cam, similar to the Search and Destroy bomb and the Formula 1 cars on Raceway.

The video showcased isn't the only instance of this happening. In fact, there are several of these devices dotted around the inside of the map, specifically within the theatre room (Control point B).
Given the showcased kill is in quite a common area, some fans have now joked that it could be racking up quite the streak. "Wonder how many kills that fire extinguisher has, I would love to see the stats for it," one fan said on Reddit.
With these flammable and combustible pieces of metal being kept in quite common hiding spots, they've begun to wreak havoc in games by randomly erupting. Another player joked, "Wonder how many kills that fire extinguisher has, I would love to see the stats for it."
With hope, someone will soon end its streak before it calls in a MGB Nuke...
