With every new Call of Duty game comes new Call of Duty maps. And of course, fans have something to say about them.

Now that Modern Warfare 2 is officially out and players are poking around in its multiplayer (because let's be honest, nobody's gut reaction is to play Special Ops first), praises and complaints are beginning to rear their heads. In particular, one map is catching plenty of attention - and none of it is good.

Fans Call Santa Seña Border Crossing The Worst CoD Map

Every Call of Duty game seems to turn out a small map to balance out the larger ones, and to maintain a little bit of chaos for the FPS experience. Sadly, Modern Warfare 2's offering has been decried as one of the absolute worst that the franchise has ever seen.

The map is Santa Seña Border Crossing, which has been utterly lambasted on social media. Fans have even gone as far as to request that it's pulled from the map pool entirely. Twitter is Santa Seña hate central, as fans are losing their minds over how poor the map is.

One disgruntled gamer raged, "Santa Sena Border Crossing? The. Worst. Map. Ever. Whoever at @InfinityWard green lit this map is a moron. What a truly horrific map. I don’t even understand how that’s supposed to be playable. It’s embarrassing." The map is tight and constricting - but that's not the only problem with it.

Fans Hate The Exploding Cars In Santa Seña

One of the key reasons that fans are roasting the map online is the reaction that occurs when you're trying to shoot an enemy through the bonnet of a stalled car. The map is plagued by cars that explode from the off, with the first minute of gameplay especially causing too much destruction for players to be able to follow.

100 Thieves' Muddawg added, "I refuse to believe a level designer made this by choice, there is no way someone thought this would play well," while noted leaker GhostofHope put it at the bottom of their day-one rankings. The Santa Seña Border Crossingmap isn't very popular, and though fans are hoping for more smaller maps in the future, they're all going to have to be better than this. Though that's not a very high bar to cross.
