Microsoft is celebrating all things Xbox with the long-awaited reveal of the Xbox Series X. Following in the footsteps of the Xbox Series S being confirmed to cost £249, the tech giant rolled out the black carpet and confirmed how much its bigger brother will cost.

For £499.99, you can check out the Xbox Series X in all its glory. Pre-orders for the console start on September 22, with Microsoft offering the Xbox Series X as part of the Xbox All Access program. This means you can try out the souped-up console for just £20.99 a month across a 24-month payment system.

There have been plenty of rumours about how much the Xbox Series X would cost, so the final price tag might no a major shock to some.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC members will also get an EA Play membership for no extra cost. The good news is that Ultimate members can enjoy EA Play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows 10 PCs, and Xbox Game Pass for PC members get EA Play on Windows 10.

Discussing the move, Mike Blank, SVP, EA Strategic Growth said, "Delivering EA Play to Xbox Game Pass members contributes to our vision of connecting players to the games they love and each other, wherever they want to play. After 5 years of delivering subscription services to the Xbox community, we are excited to make it easier for them to enjoy both memberships together".

Whether you want to try out the digital-only Xbox Series S and its smaller size (to fit in your TV cabinet, or go with the more traditional Xbox Series X, Microsoft has got the jump on its rivals. There's still no news on how much the PlayStation 5 will cost, meaning we're left waiting to see how the battle of the next-gen consoles is really shaping up. Either way, get those pre-orders ready.
