Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has taken the gaming world by storm, meaning you literally can't open your timeline without seeing the colourful party game coming at you from every direction. Since its full launch on August 3, Fall Guys has far outgrown its pint-sized beans - well, if you ignore the fact they're 6ft tall. As Mediatonic's squishy battle royale favourite approaches its one-month anniversary, Fall Guys has given players an insight into what's coming with Season 2.

The announcement was already a big talking point ahead of Gamescom 2020, and thankfully, Mediatonic didn't disappoint when it revealed what's just over the horizon. Not that anyone was doubting it, but now, the developers have shown Fall Guys Season 2 has all the chops to top its all-star debut.

At the first night of Gamescom 2020, Mediatonic announced that Fall Guys Season 2 would be Medieval-themed, with a whole range of new maps and costumes set to join the popular battle royale. While an official launch date was not given for the new season, people are already hyped to see what's coming next, and with so much already now planned for season two - it seems like Fall Guys is planning on sticking around a while longer.

There are more and more conversations about how Fall Guys can make the most of its esports potential and cash in on the industry's unfathomable growth. Experts only have to look at its launch in early August and track the game's rise to becoming the most downloaded PS Plus game of all time to see Fall Guys had it right from the start. Although there are some questions about how long Mediatonic can sustain this model before the bubble potentially bursts, it looks like Season 2 is on track to be another belter.

As well as an impressive dominance of social media, it's clear the community management teams have been listening to gamers when it comes to what they want from the title. Expect things to be bigger, bolder, and brighter when Fall Guys Season 2 comes tumbling into our lives.
