Star Wars: 1313 is probably up there with the likes of Silent Hills, Agent, and even Battlefront 3 as some of the cancelled games that fans wanted the very most.

The bounty hunter third-person shooter had the potential to be one of the most immersive and action-packed additions to the sprawling mythos of Star Wars ever, and fans cried like wounded banshees when the promising project was permanently shelved.

And now, there's fresh salt in the wound as we've got a new peek at the game that could have been. As we'd long known, Boba Fett himself was in it and could've given us The Book of Boba Fett long before the Disney+ series.

What Happens In The Leaked Star Wars: 1313 Footage?

Thanks to a big reveal from The Vault - a YouTube channel that specialises in leaking details about Star Wars games (Battlefront 3, mostly) - we've got a better look at the cancelled Star Wars: 1313 that reveals a character shift to classic badass bounty hunter Boba Fett.

The footage shows Fett sauntering through a nightclub, chasing victims across rooftops, and jumping through skylights. Though the game's locations and models are unfinished, and the audio is incredibly wonky, it's a promising start for a sequence that could have been immense fun, but alas, it will never see the light of day.

But, as it turns out, this isn't the only Star Wars game to put a bounty hunter at centre stage. It's still rumoured that a game based on The Mandalorian could be on the way.

The Mandalorian Game Test Footage Leaks

Last year, we saw some footage of a supposed new Star Wars game, focusing on the titular protagonist of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Could Din Djarin really be swooping into action? Well, probably not in this form - it looks like a great fake.

The footage looked pretty janky, and all things considered, lead fans to believe it is fake - but there's a small chance that this is a very early build of a game we simply haven't seen yet. We'll let you decide, but we have to admit, the idea of a game following Din and Grogu would be an absolute treat.

It's a shame to lament on what could've been with Star Wars, especially as there's so much in the works for the ever-growing galaxy on our gaming consoles. Who knows, with the predicted reveal of the sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order to come soon, we could forget all about 1313 in no time. Maybe.
