For a long time, Star Wars games have been a big deal. It's frankly going to be hard to keep any game set in the galaxy far, far away from drawing attention. After all, the space-faring franchise is among the most popular properties in history.

As the Jedi series of games continues to wow players, Star Wars Outlaws is just around the corner, and the Knights of the Old Republic remake is apparently still in the works (though it doesn't exactly inspire confidence), there's plenty to be excited

To tide us over until the next mainline title, and while we continue to stew in frustration that Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection launched to such a deflated sigh, a largely forgotten game is set to make a comeback on the PC - after almost a decade of standing as a mobile exclusive.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is coming to PC

For the first time in nine years, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is finally coming to a much bigger fanbase as it flies onto PC like the Millennium Falcon. The title has sailed under the radar for some time, but it still has a strong collective of fans.

Galaxy of Heroes takes up the gameplay style of the in-universe holotable games, allowing players to choose characters they've collected to play on a table as they automatically fight each other for dominion.

It's long focussed its attention on the core trilogy of games, but that hasn't stopped it from introducing heroes and perilous baddies over the years, notably bringing many characters from The Mandalorian to the holotable.

It's good timing, too, as Galaxy of Heroes is set to participate in The Phantom Menace's upcoming 25th-anniversary celebrations by introducing a raid set on Naboo.

If you want to be among the first to welcome Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes to PC, you can do so easily. The pre-registration window is open now, and a closed beta is yet to come.

There is no word on a PC release date just yet, but we do know at least that it’s coming "soon." That could mean anything, but it's better than nothing.

If you've never played the game, it could be a good chance to get in on the holotable action. After all, the Star Wars: Jedi Survivor minigame offers only so much.
