PUBG has been one of the most consistent battle royale titles out there, and even though it has been trounced in popularity by the other big dogs in the industry, its most dedicated players haven't let go. There's a fair argument to be made about the fact that they will never let go of PUBG

The crossovers for the game have been pretty immense, bringing the likes of Spider-Man and Neon Genesis Evangelion to the battlefield - and now it's getting a touch weirder. We've seen a lot of KFC collaborations recently, and while its console never came to life, the Colonel is cooking up a storm in PUBG.

PUBG welcomes a new KFC collab

To be honest, we don't know why we're surprised about these things anymore. PlayerUnknown has revealed that a new collab has touched down in the game, and it brings actual KFC restaurants to the battlefield.

Rather than simply add some cosmetic tat to the game, players can engage with KFC locations (transformed from Erangel's gas stations) and pick up their own KFC chicken combos by interacting with kiosks. Their nickname will appear on the back wall of the pick-up point, and from there, they can collect their goodies.

You can collect reskinned First Aid Kits, Bandages and Energy drinks as Chicken Buckets and the like, and they even come with their own animations. It's a deeply strange collab - but then again, to expect less would be daft.

When is KFC appearing in PUBG?

The patch notes themselves went live on October 5, indicating that players can get involved with the KFC collab right now. You might want to hurry, as there is a time limit. The stores are available for "one month," so you've got until around November 5 to get your scran.

Make it worth it because getting gunned down while you're distracted waiting for some chicken in the middle of a battlefield is probably going to be pretty embarrassing for you. Following Colonel Sanders in Final Fantasy and a KFC collab with Zelda, we can't wait to find those 11 herbs and spices in PUBG.
