It's legends only in Epic Games' latest Fortnite crossover, and now, the battle royale favourite is taking a bite out of our love for Resident Evil

While the Resiverse has extended itself into the likes of Dead by DaylightThe Division, and Rainbow Six, it's crying out for more crossovers. Come on, we need to see Lady Dimitrescu in the next Smash Bros. game. It's true we've had a FortniteResident Evil collaboration before, but the latest is a doozy.

Fortnite adds Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield

Leaked typically ahead of time, as is anything with Fortnite, we now officially know Resident Evil 2's Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield are swapping the RPD for MEGA City.

As Leon is just about to head up Capcom's new-gen Resident Evil 4 remake on March 24, the timing couldn't be better to plonk our floppy-haired hero on the map. Epic has stopped short of doing a full RE4 tie-in, meaning you sadly won't be getting an Ada Wong skin.

A blog post from Epic confirms the "Raccoon City Survivors set," which confirmed the dynamic duo for the item shop. Leon comes with his classic look and is accompanied by the Attaché Case Back Bling and Leon's Combat Knife Pickaxe.

Claire is sporting her iconic red jacket, also coming with the R.P.D. Keys Back Bling and Umbrella Parasol Pickaxe. We'll admit a suitcase and set of keys aren't exactly the most imaginative Back Blings, but to be honest, we're just glad these zombie-busting badasses are getting the recognition they deserve.

Could more Resident Evil skins be on the way?

We last had a Resident Evil crossover in 2021, with Fortnite putting series stalwarts Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine in the shop. The "S.T.A.R.S. Team Set" came at the height of popularity for Resident Evil Village and even included Chris' grizzled look.

Now that RE4 is releasing, it makes sense we get another collab. Then again, we're a little disappointed that there aren't any variant skins in the latest lineup. Also, we'd have loved a tiny Ramon Salazar skin. Leon and Claire are 1,500 V- Bucks each or can be bought as part of a bundle for 2,100.

We assume there will be more Resident Evil crossovers further down the line, but with no sign of Resident Evil 9, that could be a long way off yet. In terms of others skins, the aforementioned Ada or Albert Wesker would be popular choices. Also, why not go full DbD and give us a Tyrant skin?
