Fortnite Season 3 Teasers Confirm Another Sci-Fi Season
Space, the final frontier - well, not if you've been playing Fortnite for a while. Epic Games' battle royale juggernaut is still going great guns, and with a new season just around the corner, the Fortnite Season 3 teasers hint that we'll be reaching for the stars once again.
Over the course of Fortnite's 20 seasons, we've seen plenty of imaginative themes. There was the underwater madness of Chapter 2 Season 3, or what about the primal prowess of Chapter 2 Season 6? Off the back of the Spider-Man-themed revamp of Chapter 3 and the poorly time war season, we now know what's coming next. Yes, it could be a rehash of Chapter 2 Season 7's Invasion.
What Do The Fortnite Season 3 Teasers Reveal?
In the run-up to Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3's expected release on June 4, Epic has been teasing the season's theme. This season has the cryptic title of The Collision, but pair it with the various sci-fi teasers, and things start to come into view. Those lucky few who count themselves as part of the Fortnite inner circle are currently being given a series of teasers.
There are currently three Season 3 teasers, which have handily been pieced together by HYPEX. Other "influencers" including Alistair "Ali-A" Aiken and Hiper have been given these teasers, with things pointing toward a clear focus - cue the Imperial March. We'd already clocked there would be at least some sort of sci-fi theme thanks to a leaked Battle Pass showing off Darth Vader.
HYPEX's composite shows off some sort of solar system map. Here, theorists think they've spotted Star Wars' Starkiller base in the top right corner. Others think the next teaser will reveal the Mecha Team Leader robot that's supposed to play into Chapter 3 Season 2's live event. Not everyone was impressed though, as one critic wrote, "5 more days till that sh*tty ** battle pass leak is true."
What Else Do We Know About Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?
The internet is awash with supposed 4chan leaks, but we're warned to take them all with a healthy pinch of salt. One prominent rumour that we keep hearing is that the Daily Bugle POI could be replaced by Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar. If this is the case, expect a fiery new addition to the Fortnite map. Elsewhere, just imagine if we have a snowy recreation of Hoth at one of the map's higher POIs.
Epic Games' Donald Mustard teased we'd be getting more Star Wars content when he posted a picture of a LEGO AT-AT to Instagram. Remembering we just had lightsabers back in-game AND the Obi-Wan Cup, there are sure to be complaint's we're getting too much Star Wars. We previously wrote off the idea of a full-blown Star Wars season, but with just days to go until Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, it's looking more likely than ever... we can feel it in the Force.
