This is why we can't have nice things. Although it seems like only yesterday we got Tilted Towers back in Fortnite, new leaks suggest the fan-favourite locale is about to be obliterated all over again. Worse than this, multiple POIs could be about to kick the bucket.

Fortnite is no stranger to cataclysmic events, with everything from meteors to volcanos overhauling the map on a regular basis. When Fortnite flipped the map and debuted Chapter 3, Tilted Towers was MIA and lay under a layer of snow. However, when the midseason update melted the ice, Tilted was back in action.

Is Tilted Towers Doomed Again?

According to noted leaker HYPEX, Chapter 3 Season 2's ongoing war between the Imagined Order and Seven will result in some casualties. Namely, the blimps currently flying above the various POIs will be crashing to the ground and taking these locations with them.

On the path to destruction are the Daily Bugle, Chonker's Speedway, and Tilted Towers. This is backed up by YouTuber TheCampingRusher, who claims these disastrous crashes will come toward the end of Chapter 3 Season 2. Given Tilted's position at the centre of the map, it makes sense that this is a key point of power for the Imagined Order.

Added to this, the various insiders have noted that even if the blimp crashes aren't the real deal, the drilling beneath Tilted will likely leave the POI weakened and severely damaged. In case you haven't noticed, Tilted is an IO hotspot right now, so we guess there are at least some changes on the horizon.

What's On The Way To Fortnite?

No matter what's going on right now, the ongoing war between these sides is sure to change the map as we know it. For once, it'll be refreshing to see an actual event rather than a natural disaster mix things up in Fortnite. It was only recently we claimed Tilted could be wiped out again, with three drill sites around the POI spelling trouble for the drop site.

There have been complaints about the timing of a war-themed Fortnite season, however, Epic has managed to dodge its critics by becoming a huge donator to humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Still, the threat of war is looming large over the Fortnite map and both sides look like they have no will to backdown. Whether it's Tilted, the Daily Bugle, or somewhere else, expect a very different Fortnite before the season is out.
