One of Modern Warfare's best features is the characters. Over the years we've come to fight baddies alongside Captain Price, Ghost, and Soap (rest in peace, Roach), and they've become the heartbeat of the series.
Heading into the reboot of Modern Warfare, we were met with some new faces and allegiances alongside the return of Nikolai, with Farah and Hadir playing quite a pivotal part in the storyline. Now, one character who was previously presumed dead will be joining up with the gang in Modern Warfare 2.
Alex is coming to Modern Warfare 2
Joining his colleagues Farah and the rest of Task Force 141, Alex Keller is set to be the new Operator added to Modern Warfare 2. It's all part of the Season 3 Reloaded refresh, which is (so far) looking like one of the best in years.
Revealed in a Call of Duty blog post, the one-legged character will be available to players who complete the Raid Episode 03. The description reads, "Afer tracking down Alex, Gaz breaks off to establish comms with Laswell and provide exfil.
Now Price, Farah, and Alex must push deeper into the Soviet base, descending into a massive pit where they will navigate old train tunnels and electrically charged waters. With Hadir and the missing warhead still on the loose, every minute counts."
Players who complete the Raid will earn Alex as an Operator for MW2 and Warzone 2, alongside an electrified camo and another unique blueprint if you tackle it on Veteran.
Alex finally returns to the Modern Warfare Storyline
The last time we properly saw Alex was back in Modern Warfare 2019, when he turned hero for Farah and Captain Price by holding off enemy forces in an infiltration of a Soviet-era nuclear bunker, which was rigged to be blown up.
After the explosion, Alex was presumed to be dead, as Price, Gaz, and Farah found his three ULF companions' bodies in the bunker, although he was never found. It was later confirmed that Alex was actually alive, having been spared by Hadir and faced with the option to join Al-Qatala or turn back.
Alex will now continue to play a part in the Modern Warfare 2 storyline, after being left out of the campaign, although his true allegiance is still unknown.
