Cloud9 has announced an official audio partnership with EPOS as of September 2.

EPOS, an audio and visual solution company, is well established in the esports industry. Having previous partnerships with Riot Games to become official partners in the League of Legends Oceanic Pro League, and partnering with teams such as SK Gaming, EPOS has now climbed the ladder to pair with one of the biggest esports organisations in the world.

Cloud9 themselves are moving from strength to strength, with their newly formed VALORANT roster picking up victories and top-three finishes in the North American events, and most recently, their Rainbow Six side picked up a championship win at the August 2020 Major - North Division.

As the two combine, CEO and Co-Founder of Cloud9, Jack Etienne, stated in a press release that "I see a lot of what we’ve built with Cloud9 in EPOS. Their pursuit of excellence knows no bounds and it’s clear they’re always looking for ways to innovate. We’re excited to be partnering with them and eagerly look forward to the next evolution in our performance.”

Head of Global Marketing EPOS, Maja Frølunde Sand-Grimnitz, added: “At EPOS, we strive to unleash human potential and lift gaming into a whole new dimension through powerful audio solutions and are delighted to be working with a respected esports organisation like Cloud9. As a business, we bring 115 years of audio expertise to the Cloud9 partnership and aim to enhance their activities by delivering our state-of-the-art audio equipment to ensure a high-end audio experience for all involved.”

The partnership will see Cloud9 esports professionals and content creators switch to EPOS audio systems such as headsets, in order to improve the quality and performance of their audio. EPOS commits to providing engineering hours for collaboration on technology initiatives of specific relevance to esports.
