The starry-eyed tomboy that is Brigitte has proven her worth in the ever-changing Overwatch meta pools since being added back in 2018. With a devilish glare that would likely bend Baptiste to her every will, the mavourneen has become a popular support main, offering tenacious defensive abilities for her allies whilst still packing a woeful blow when backed into a corner.

With the likes of Boston Uprising support player Kim "Faith" Hong-gyu opting for her in the Overwatch League SteelSeries Invitational, Brigitte was proving to be a more than handy support character, only until an unfortunate bug erected Faith from the game by self eliminating, possibly costing Boston their one and only chance to gain control of the Eichenwalde bridge.

With Boston one map down in the final versus Los Angeles Gladiators, the two sides locked horns on the bridge, and just as Boston looked to gain a foothold, Faith looked to use Shield Bash to prevent falling off the bridge, only for it to vault Brigitte over the other side. Commentators, fans, and players alike were all mind-boggled, and it looked to prove pivotal for Boston who lost the push, the round, the map, and subsequently the final.

The glitch seemingly appears to be the fault of the Shield Bash of Brigitte, rather than the map which has been ever so troublesome in the past. The recent buff to her kit that allows the Shield Bash to travel further after suffering a knockback was seemingly sent into overdrive and Faith was inexplicably yeeted off the edge and into oblivion.

Overwatch bugs have become extra prevalent since the development of Overwatch 2 was ramped up by Activision Blizzard. This also means it's unknown whether the devs will deploy a team to look into the bug, or rather sit back and pray that it doesn't happen again with the OWL kicking off again in May.
