Apex Legends have been good this season for giving players every opportunity to grab some good loot. The latest Japan Legacy event leak suggests there’s some great legend and weapon skins to come but in the meantime, the battle pass and Arenas event have been giving fans plenty to do and earn in the midst of Season Nine. Plus, it helps that the game is so community-oriented - which is fitting, as developers Respawn Entertainment have announced something of a mini-event for Apex fans, giving them the chance to earn some community created loading screens.

What Are Apex Legends’ Community Created Loading Screens?

As part of a big push to get the Apex community directly involved in the items the game can produce, Respawn is introducing a new event that allows players to unlock a new loading screen designed and created by the community every single week. They will be available to claim for a week at a time, running from Tuesday to Tuesday, starting on June 1, and ending on August 3, running for six weeks.

Respawn have shown off one of the six screens, that features Valkyrie and Horizon on a hefty vertical climb at Olympus’ Grow Towers.

How Do I Claim The Community Created Loading Screens?

All you have to do to claim your week’s loading screen is tune in to one of ten Apex streamers selected by Respawn for an hour’s concurrent viewing that week. The official Apex Legends twitter page will announce these streamers at the start of each week, and they’ve announced this week’s streamer team already. Link your Twitch account to your EA account, and you’ll be good to go.

Apex’s community is what keeps it going, and it’s nice to see Respawn reward them with some new goodies. It’s a sweet way of giving back, and it’ll do some good for some committed streamers in the process.
