Apex Legends, like many other games, has a variety of different health and armour buffs that can change in a heartbeat. Whether it's popping a phoenix kit to fully replenish your Red Evo Armour or popping the cheekiest Armour death box swap that Kings Canyon has ever seen, your health and armour can be drastically different in a matter of seconds. The same can be said for your opponents, and sometimes it can be hard to tell just how close to death they are, or whether you're going headfirst into a battle which your enemy is better equipped for.

One component of an Apex Legends gameplay is trying to amass a certain amount of damage. Players often aim towards causing several thousand damage points and can often use this to counter players who rob your kills and say 'i'm doing everything, pull your weight'. There's always one.

However, it seems that Respawn Entertainment is set to add a new feature to Apex Legends which will change team versus team battles and solo engagements significantly.

Design Director at Respawn Entertainment, Jason McCord, has stated that the team is looking to implement a damage meter in Apex Legends. This would work by having a meter that will track how much concurrent damage a player has health throughout the game.

McCord responded to a player that was disappointed after being 25 damage off being the 4,000 damage badge, confirming a concurrent damage meter is '"on a list" of features to be implemented into Apex Legends

This could come in Season 7, alongside a barrel load of new features and a brand new champion, Valk. Respawn has also been busy in finalising the beta for crossplay, alongside beginning the development of an Apex Legends mobile app, and buffing legends such as the beloved Pathfinder.
