You may want to know how to plant seeds in V Rising as it becomes an important aspect for farming certain resources later in the game when you can create a garden. V Rising combines elements of ARPGs and survival games to create a unique hybrid. You awaken from a long slumber as a vampire, and with your weapons and powers, you're encouraged to go out and terrorise the humans of the world, defeat bosses, and build up your gothic castle. Before that, you'll need to gain resources, so here's a primer on how to plant seeds in V Rising.

  • Another useful resource for grinding out, is the V Rising Fish Oil, as it allows you to improve gear in the late-game.

While not all resources can be grown, V Rising Cotton and V Rising Highland Lotus are just two examples of plant materials which you can begin to farm later in the game. There are a few steps you'll need to do before you can get your garden up and running, but they're more than worth it, as farms are the most consistent way to earn these types of resources.

Firstly, you will need to unlock the garden for your castle, which requires you to defeat Polora the Feywalker, who is a level 34 boss in the Farbane Woods area. Afterwards, you'll be able to place garden floor tiles around your castle and create a farm. The next step is to acquire seeds, of which there are a few different methods.

The human settlements across the game contain farms, so you can harvest the plants or destroy nearby containers to get seeds from there, and some merchants, such as Ottar in the Brighthaven Slums, also sell different seed types. Lastly, some boss types also drop seeds, but you will need to check the Blood Altar to see which ones.

With your seeds collected, you can equip them to your hotbar, and when standing next to a suitable grass or garden tile, you can press the relevant key to plant them. Over the next few in-game days, the plants will grow, letting you harvest them with a scythe or sword for the resource, and seeds to continue growing.

That's our walkthrough for how to plant seeds in V Rising, and now you know where to acquire seeds, and the method for farming them.
