Where can you get the Strange Diamonds in Slime Rancher 2?

The Strange Diamond in Slime Rancher 2 will spawn randomly, but the following are some of the locations we've had luck with. Spawn points have a random chance to have diamonds, it's worth checking in these areas every couple of in-game days to try your luck. If they don’t feature a Strange Diamond, in their place they will be either a Jellystone Ore, Radiant Ore, or another resource.

It is possible to find a Rare Diamond node in the cave locked behind a slime statue in the central pink region of Starlight Strand. Follow the river upstream to the locked gate. Shoot a Rock Plort into the statue's mouth to get past it and you may find a Diamond node on the wall of the cave beyond. The cave leads to a shortcut within the Starlight Strand map.

There is a guaranteed Rare Diamond behind the doorway guarded by the Boom Gordo. The Boom Gordo is located at the westernmost point of Ember Island. You'll need to travel to the volcano area of the map, past the Batty Gordo to access the area. The Boom Gordo stands on a dais surrounded by lava pools. To get past it, feed it approximately 30 meat or around 20 of its favourite food the Briar Hen.

Beyond the Boom Gordo is an excavation site and two treasure pods, one of which contains a Rare Diamond.

It is possible to get up to three Strange Diamond at the following location if you're very lucky. To get to the area travel to the Batty Gordo's cave in Ember Valley. This is the expanse of caves located to the west which leads to the volcano biome.

The cave has multiple exits, travel up the inner ledges to get to the top east exit. You'll come out on a platform overlooking a valley. Turn immediately left and walk towards the waterfall. Behind the waterfall is a cave filled with Slime statues. You can find a Diamond close to the entrance, and two can be found above on the head of one of the stone slimes.
