Slime Rancher 2 Drone Archive Key: How To Get And Uses

How To Get The Drone Archive Key In Slime Rancher 2

The recipe to make a Drone Key will be given to the player by Mochi at the Comm Station upon defeating the Flutter Gordo.
Once the Flutter Gordo is defeated in Starlight Strand you'll receive the transmission from Mochi with the Drone Key recipe. With this, you can use the fabricator to make one from resources.
The Comm Station is a tower located near the main Conservatory entrance, it is easy to overlook but when you have a message the display will show an exclamation mark. Other times it will show a signal display like a Wi-Fi strength symbol.
Simply interact with the Comm Station to access your messages. If you haven’t been using this feature it may take a few days for Mochi's message to filter in. Simply go to the shelter in the Conservatory and sleep through a few days and you should eventually receive her message with the Drone Key blueprint attached.
Once you have the recipe it will take the following resources to make at the fabricator (underneath the Conservatory):
- 1,500 Newbucks
- Fire Plort x20
- Lava Dust x10
- Hunter Plort x20
- Jellystone x20
The Flutter Gordo is located within the pink region of the Starlight Strand map. It stands on a stone dais in front of a light breach. To defeat it, you'll need to gather 25 Moondew Nectar from the surrounding area and feed it until it pops.
What Is The Drone Archive Key In Slime Rancher 2?

Essentially the Drone Archive Key reveals more of the overarching storyline. You can interact with any drone on the island and press X to reveal the archive. This will bring up a second screen with more memoirs which reveal more of the story of Slime Rancher 2.
The Drone Archive Key may serve a further purpose but as Slime Rancher 2 is still in early access this remains to be seen.
