If you're curious about how many pieces of DLC have been added to The Sims 4 since it first launched, we've got a rundown of all of the Expansions, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Kits in order of release so you can find the latest ones to play.

Since The Sims 4's initial release in 2014, developer Maxis has produced a constant stream of extra content for Simmers - and it can get a little overwhelming when deciding which Expansions or Game Packs to pick up.

With each new iteration of The Sims, these DLCs have always been a constant, from Crystal Creations' addition of the Gemology Skill to weather or furry friends that accompany your Sims throughout their lives, and magical Occults like Vampires and Werewolves.

Below, we've listed all Packs in The Sims 4 in order of their release, so you can check for any you have missed. We'll also go over the key differences between each DLC pack so you can pick the right one for you and your Sims game.

How many DLC Packs are there?

As of March 2024, there are currently 74 pieces of DLC in The Sims 4, with Kits having the largest selection at 27 in total. By type, these are broken down as follows:

DLC Type Number of Packs
Kits 27
Stuff Packs 20
Game Packs 12
Expansion Packs 15

The Sims 4 Stuff Packs listed

Stuff Packs are the second-smallest DLC types, and have been present in the series since The Sims 2. They include a smaller set of items, while never including the likes of a new world, for example.

While Stuff Pack releases have been less common in recent times, Home Chef Hustle broke that trend in September 2023 after Paranormal Stuff was released in January of 2021, and there are now 20 of them in total:

  • The Sims 4: Luxury Party Stuff (May 2015)
