Typhlosion is the final evolution of the Fire-type starter from Johto, Cyndaquil. However, with its Ghost Tera Type and Mightiest Mark, Trainers will need to take a variety of potential moves into account.

Based on previous events, Typhlosion's speculated moveset is as follows:

・ Shadow Ball
・ Flamethrower
・ Focus Blast
・ Solar Beam

It may also run with Sunny Day to boost its Fire-type moves, or Will-O-Wisp to cause chip damage to your team. It is also likely to have the hidden ability Flash Fire, absorbing any Fire-type attacks to increase its attack.

Due to Typlosion’s Special Attack role, it is believed to have a Modest nature.

Counters

The 7-Star Typholsion Tera Raid Event is yet to go live at the time of writing. However, based on the above moveset, the best counter is likely to be the Ghost/Normal type Pokemon, Hisuian Zoroark.

Hisuian Zoroark will have full immunity to any STAB Ghost-type moves Typhlosion has. That's along with covering off any Fighting weaknesses. By using Nasty Plot and Shadow Ball, you can utilise both a boosted Sp. Atk stat and STAB for massive damage.

Rain Dance will also halve the damage of Typhlosion's Fire-type moves with Rain Dance, as well as buffing anyone who mistakenly brings a Water-type Pokemon.

Finally, you should look to equip the Shell Bell for passive HP restoration throughout the fight.

That's all you need to know for now on the Typhlosion raid Scarlet and Violet dates, times, moveset & counters.
